If you prefer to scrape via the crawler for bulk scraping, you can scrape up to 5,000 URLs at a time per scrape recipe (there's no limit on how many recipes you can run at once). If scraping via API requests, there are no concurrency limits - Simplescraper will scale with your requirements. Can you scrape the data for me? Simplescraper makes it easy for you to extract the data yourself, but if you'd rather not, you have options:Use one of our ready-made recipes for popular websitesHave us build a custom solution and deliver the data to youNot sure which approach is best? Get in touch. What are scrape recipes? Scrape recipes are reusable data extraction patterns that tell Simplescraper exactly what to extract from a website. A recipe contains the URL of the target website and a set of CSS selectors that pinpoint the specific data you want to collect. Once created, recipes can be run repeatedly to extract fresh data, even as website content changes. You can create recipes using our browser extension, through the Smart Extract feature, or programmatically via our API.Can Simplescraper scrape behind a login? Yes - both via browser scraping (using your existing logged-in session) and cloud scraping (using cookies or credentials). How do credits work? Credits allow you to scrape in the cloud. Scraping a single page with Javascript enabled uses 2 credits, and scraping without Javascript uses 1 credit. Because most modern websites require Javascript, it is enabled by default, but you can change this when creating/editing a recipe. You start with 100 free credits when you sign up so be sure to use them!On paid plans, credits renew each month and are valid for the subscription month only. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. How to edit a recipe Click the 3 dots to the right of the recipe name on any recipe page to edit that recipe. You can also share, clone (duplicate) or delete a recipe from this menu. How to scrape links and image URLs? When you select an element that is a hyperlink or an image, the link should be detected automatically and will appear in the scrape results. If for some reason the results do not contain links, try saving the recipe and running it in the cloud. How to scrape multiple pages and infinite scroll? You can scrape multiple pages and infinite scroll directly in the browser extension or via cloud scraping. See the Multiple page and infinite scroll scraping guide for more info. How to first scrape a list of URLs and then scrape each of those individual URLs? Simplescraper makes this easy with bulk scraping, which can be accomplished both in the browser and the cloud. See Crawling lists of URLs for instructions. How to manage my recipes? You can access all your scrape recipes from the Simplescraper dashboard or by clicking the Simplescraper extension icon and selecting 'View recipes and results'.Does Simplescraper use proxies? Yes, Simplescraper auto-rotates IP addresses to ensure that we're able to scrape successfully.Does Simplescraper rate-limit requests? Yes, we scrape responsibly and an individual scrape job should be no different than a handful of people browsing a website. --- Skip to contentMenuReturn to topEnhance your data with Simplescraper AI Summarize, analyze, format, or extract meaning from your scraped data using AI.Simplescraper AI Enhance allows you to ask your scraped data anything, using Artificial Intelligence. It's perfect for automatic summarization, analysis, formatting, and extracting meaning from data. AI enhanced data is saved to an additional column in your scrape results. This guide explains how to set up and use AI enhance in your workflow.1. Activate Simplescraper AI Enhance After creating, saving and running a scrape recipe, visit the AI enhance tab of your recipe on the Simplescraper dashboardToggle the AI Enhance feature to Active2. Choose your preferred Run Mode You have two options for how the AI Enhance feature will operate:Automatic: Runs automatically after each scrape task is completed, and before any integration step you may have set upManual: Click the 'Run AI' button to manually trigger AI Enhance to run on the most recently scraped data. If you choose this method, AI enhanced data will not automatically be sent to any integrations you may have set up, however you can trigger the integration step manually3. Select AI Prompt You can choose from predefined prompts like "Summarize text", "Summarize comments", or create a custom prompt tailored to the specific data that you've scraped4. Choose Data Properties for AI Analysis In this step you select the specific properties you wish the AI to analyze. You may wish to include all properties that you've scraped however if some are not relevant you can choose to exclude them5. Choose to Combine Rows Individual Rows (default): By default, AI Enhance will process each row separately, applying the prompt to each row individually. This is suitable for tasks like summarizing individual blog posts, translating comments, formatting rows etc.Combined Rows: Toggle on 'Combine Rows' to merge all rows into a single data block and apply the prompt and analysis to all of the data at once. This approach is useful for tasks such as summarizing a Twitter (X) feed or aggregating sentiment from a collection of reviews.6. Generate an example Use the "Generate example" button to see a sample AI enhancement based on the first row of data in your scrape results. This allows you verify that the AI will produce data as you expect (note that the AI will not return identical results each time).7. Run AI Enhance If you wish to run AI enhance manually and are in manual mode, click 'Run AI'. The number of rows that will be enhanced as well as an estimate of the credits used will be shown. Click confirm and Simplescraper will begin the process. If you are in automatic mode, AI Enhance will run immediately after each scrape is completed.8. Review Enhanced Data After the AI has completed its analysis, a new column labeled "AI_enhanced" will be added to your results. This column contains the AI-generated information based on the prompt and properties you selected.9. Integrations If you've set up an integration, AI Enhance will run before the integration step. This may result in your data taking a slightly longer time to arrive at its destination.Notes:Simplescraper AI enhance charges 1 credit for every 800 words processed. This includes both the text sent to be enhanced and the AI's response. The estimated number of credits required to run AI enhance on your data will be displayed in the "Notes" section below the configurationAI results will not be identical for each runPlease reach out via chat if you have questions or would like help with any steps. --- Skip to contentMenuOn this pageHow to scrape and save recipes with the extension Meet Simplescraper 2.0The new Simplescraper sidepanel extension makes web scraping more simple than ever.
