When other orchestral libraries feature classical music demos, they were made in a DAW. Those demos were carefully sequenced by hand by a very skilled individual, manually adding musical phrasing to each instrument, and bear no resemblance to how that library would perform the same music directly from score in a notation software. Our demos are an honest representation of how NotePerformer can be expected to sound. Even for a composer with no sample library experience. Courtesy of mainly4strings.co.uk We want you to know that... NotePerformer adds a one-second delay to playback. This is the secret to how we’re able to analyse the musical context of your score. But it also means that you can’t use ReWire technology with NotePerformer. Live recording from your MIDI keyboard (note input during score playback) requires Dorico or Sibelius 2019.4/higher. There is currently no Finale support for this. STRINGS in NotePerformer Section-building is used to create authentic sections (8-8-6-6-4) from solo instruments. All section members have their own random variations and intonation. Section sizes can be overriden (between 2 and 8) using MIDI CC 104, or using our dedicated Sibelius and Finalescript plug-ins. Sections automatically play divisi over chords. We also include half section instruments for splitting any string section over two staves. We automatically assign different sounds to different solo instruments. Vibrato can be overridden using MIDI CC 105 (depth) and 106 (rate), or using our dedicated Sibelius plug-in. Our strings automatically produce the right pitch from artificial harmonics notation. BRASS & WW in NotePerformer Natural timbre changes from ppp to fff. Custom section-building (a2, a3, ... between 2 and 8) using MIDI CC 104, or using our dedicated Sibelius and Finalescript plug-ins. We automatically assign different sounds to different solo instruments. Vibrato can be overridden using MIDI CC 105 (depth) and 106 (rate), or using our dedicated Sibelius plug-in. All our brass include five different sordinos. Accents and marcato may even momentarily reach beyond fff. OTHER SOUNDS in NotePerformer Our pipe organ supports custom registration using our dedicated Sibelius plug-in. For Dorico or Finale users we calculate the MIDI CC value—producing a certain organ registration—directly on our website, if you follow this link. Most pitched mallet percussion include a bowed variant. Our highly regarded theremin glides naturally between slurred notes. Fast tremolos are automatically truncated to a natural speed.
