How the Offline Agent Works Download Now STEP 1Add Folders For IndexingFirst, open your DAW and log in on your plugin. The agent will automatically detect and share this login.Open up the “JamahookAgent” app. Click on the “Add Folder” button to start adding folders for indexing.STEP 2Let Primary Indexing FinishWait for the progress bar to complete. This bar shows you how many of your sounds are ready for local matching.STEP 3Local Matching on your PluginNow, go back to your plugin’s Match Settings page and change the match source to “Local Matching” from the Match Settings page. You are now ready to match from your own indexed sounds!OPTIONALSecondary IndexingThere is a “secondary indexing” that takes place in the background which analyzes your sounds even further for better match results. Download Free Now Frequently Asked Questions Is the sound assistant two different products?The Jamahook Sound Assistant is a creative bundle that includes both the Jamahook Plugin and the Offline Agent.The Plugin is used as the main interface for matching – whether to find matches from the Jamahook Cloud Library or your own local sounds. The Offline Agent is mainly used to add and manage local sounds on your Mac/PC to your local matching library. How do I use the plugin?The Jamahook Sound Assistant installer installs both the plugin and the offline agent on to your Mac/PC.To use the plugin, it must be added as an FX on your Master track so that it can listen to the entire output. You can select where you want your matches from through the Match Settings page – select Cloud or Local matching based on your needs.Move your trackbar to the beginning of the section you want to match with, press the the Match button, and hit play on you DAW. It will listen to what’s playing and then start to provide you matches.To get different results, you can make it listen to combinations of soloed/muted stems even from the same section of your project. Additionally, you can use filters to get more specific matches.  What is the payment structure?The local matching service using the offline agent has a one-time license fee. There are different prices for packages based on the number of loops you can analyze and match with.To use loops from the Jamahook Cloud through online matching, there are monthly and yearly subscriptions available based on your needs. Is there any way to try the Sound Assistant before buying?The Sound Assistant is free to download and try. You only need to sign up. You get a 14 day (Basic Plan) for the Offline Agent to try local matching and a 1 month Artist plan that allows you to buy loops from Cloud Matching as well.With the trial version of the Offline Agent, you can process up to 10,000 loops. You will have to purchase a one-time license to continue using local matching once the trial period is over.While the Cloud Matching service is always free, you will need a loop subscription once the Artist subscription is over if you want to own and use any loops that you match with. What if I only want to use online or offline matching?You are free to use only online, only local, or even both types of matching based on your needs. There is no requirement for you to buy both a license for the offline agent and the online loop subscription. You are free to buy whichever you like. Do I need to register to try out the Sound Assistant?You can try out online matching for free using just the plugin in guest mode even without an account. But, there are advantages to registering a free account for the plugin such as having the ability to add favourites and getting access to your matching history.You will, however, need an account to use a trial version of the offline agent. Which plugin formats are offered?Currently, the plugin is available as a VST, AU, and AAX plugin for all compatible digital audio workstations (DAW). What are my payment options?Jamahook currently accepts any type of card payments. The offline agent can be purchased with a one-time payment and the online loop subscription has an automatic monthly payment system after the first payment.We are working to introduce PayPal for our customers soon. Download Free Now Cloud Loop Subscription FAQs How do I use my Loop Subscription?The Jamahook plugin should be available in your DAW once the installation has been completed.For optimum results, the plugin should be placed on your Master track so that it can listen to the entire output. Move your trackbar to the beginning of the section you want to match with. Press the Match button and hit play on your DAW. It will listen to 4 or 8 bars (selectable via Settings) and automatically start analyzing the sounds to find matches. Within seconds, you will be provided with a ranked shortlist of loops that are complementary to your project. All matches will be adjusted to your project’s BPM and Key for easy auditioning. You can simply hit play or drag the matches out and drop them into your tracks to see how they fit. Is it legally safe to use the loops from Jamahook's online library?You have full commercial rights to use any loops that you buy through a Cloud Loop Subscription.The “BUY” button on the plugin will show up as “OWNED” for any loop that you already own. You can also find your full collection of owned sounds from the Jamahook library on vst.jamahook.com/purchase_history. Does Jamahook store my loops when I'm matching online?All user sounds that are analyzed and used for online matching are deleted as soon as the matching process is completed and your matches are served. Loop credits acquired through vouchers or coupons are generally expirable (unless mentioned otherwise).
