Data Collection and Usage3.1 Personal InformationBy default, Animant does not collect personally identifiable information (PII). If you use Animant Cloud, we collect your email address to link you with your team and log which shared stories you access. Third-party SDKs may collect aggregated device identifiers for diagnostics. Purchase receipts and subscription data may be collected and linked to your Animant account or an anonymous identifier for fraud prevention.3.2 Story and Asset DataAnimant does not collect or store story or media data (documents, videos, images, audio). All media remains stored locally on your device unless you choose to use iCloud or Animant Cloud.3.3 iCloud StorageIf you store projects in iCloud, data is handled in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy.3.4 Animant CloudBy publishing projects to Animant Cloud, your project, team, and account data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (our data processor). If you use AI features (Magic Chapter and Magic Effects), your input is processed by OpenAI. Animant does not store input data, but OpenAI may retain information in accordance with their privacy policy. This may include retention for AI model training purposes.4. Website Data4.1 Aggregated DataWe may receive anonymized analytics from Apple (e.g., device type, region, purchase counts) to improve services.4.2 Crash LogsIf you consent to share crash logs, anonymized technical data is submitted to Apple and made available to us for debugging.5. Website DataOur website collects aggregated country and device type data (no identifiable IP storage). We use cookies from Cloudflare on our website and Animant Cloud for essential site delivery functions, security, and performance monitoring. We use cookies from Google reCAPTCHA for fraud prevention on Animant Cloud.6. International Data Transfers (GDPR only)Data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA (e.g., to the U.S.). User Content, Hosted Presentations, and Conduct6.1 User ContentYou may create, upload, publish, or host presentations and other content on Animant ("User Content"). You retain any intellectual property rights you hold in the User Content you create, subject to the license you grant to Animant below.6.2 License to Hosted ContentBy publishing or hosting content with Animant you grant Animant a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to store, reproduce, distribute, and display that content on our servers and to make it available to other users in accordance with your published settings and these Terms.6.3 Prohibited Content and ConductYou must not publish or request content that is illegal or that violates these Terms. Specifically, you must not use the Service to create, request, or distribute content that:Harasses, incites violence against, or denigrates a person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic.Promotes or depicts sexual activity.Facilitates or instructs in the planning or execution of illicit or violent activities.Encourages self-harm or suicide or offers instructions for self-harm.If you submit or request content that violates these rules, Animant may block the request, remove the content, flag your account for review, suspend or terminate your account, and/or take other corrective measures. AI Features and Generated ContentAnimant provides features that use artificial intelligence to generate images, text, sequences, or other media ("AI Content"). By using AI features you agree to the following:You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and suitability of AI Content before relying on it. Animant disclaims all liability for errors, omissions, or misleading generated content. ANIMANT DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ERRORS, OMISSIONS, OR MISLEADING GENERATED CONTENT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW;AI Content does not represent Animant's views, opinions, or beliefs.You may not use AI features to request or generate content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, facilitates wrongdoing, or otherwise violates these Terms.
