NoteKnight is an online flashcard and study platform designed to help you learn efficiently using interactive study modes like Learn, Match, and Quiz. You can create, study, and organize flashcards directly in your browser. Is NoteKnight free to use? Yes. Core features such as creating flashcards and studying them are free. Some advanced features, like AI tools and image uploads, have limits on the free plan. Do I need an account to use NoteKnight? You can browse public flashcards without an account. Creating, saving, and studying your own flashcards requires a free account. Is there a mobile app? No. NoteKnight was developed to be responsive and usable on multiple devices, but there is not a dedicated mobile app at this time. How can I contact NoteKnight? Three flashcards are automatically added to the page for you to start with. Once you're done editing, click the Create button at the top or bottom of the page to finish. How many flashcard sets can I make? As many as you'd like! How many flashcards can a set have? The limit is 250 flashcards per set. We chose this number based on what we felt was a good mix between practicality and performance. Character limits Each side of a flashcard has a 500 character limit to ensure smooth performance. Can I add images? Images are available to NoteKnight NOBLE subscribers. Maximum number of images per set is 200, equivalent to 100 flashcards with images on both the front and back. If your subscription ends, you will not lose access to your sets containing images. Sets containing images can be shared with others. How do study modes work? NoteKnight offers multiple study modes focused on active recall, including Learn, Match, and Quiz, with configurable study settings such as shuffling and reversing cards. How do I share my flashcards? There are share options on the Dashboard and Review page that will generate links. Access to flashcards marked private will be restricted to the owner. Can I print my flashcards? Yes. Select a flashcard set from the dashboard and navigate to the review page where a print option is available. We integrated ChatGPT within our custom text editor to assist in flashcard generation and enhance productivity. This feature is exclusive to NoteKnight NOBLE subscribers. How Prompts work? The Prompt button can be used to create a custom prompt for the AI to generate a response. Any selected text in the editor will be added to the custom prompt and the AI response will replace the selection. If no text is selected, only the custom prompt will be used, and the AI response will be inserted at the cursor’s last position. How Commands work? The Commands list provides a set of pre-defined prompts that can be used to generate AI responses. Selected text in the editor will be added to the prompt and the AI response will replace the selection. If no text is selected, all content in the editor will be added to the prompt and the AI response will replace it. Limitations ChatGPT sometimes writes plausible-sounding but incorrect or nonsensical answers. It is important to review and verify the AI generated content. OpenAI Privacy Data submitted through the OpenAI API is not used to train OpenAI models or improve OpenAI's services. OpenAI does not share user content with third parties for marketing purposes. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days. NoteKnight provides OpenAI unique user identifiers which help OpenAI monitor and detect abuse. It activates when you move between text areas and changes have been detected. This approach minimizes server calls and ensures an uninterrupted user experience. What is a draft? Drafts are generated during AutoSave and allow for relaxed standards, like saving blank fields. They aren't visible in public search results but you can choose to share them. How do I remove [Draft] from my title? The Draft tag appears in your flashcard set's title after an autosave, indicating sets in progress but not completed. To remove the tag, finalize your set by clicking the submission button, located at the top or bottom of the page. Why is AutoSave disabled? AutoSave is disabled if a flashcard text area exceeds the 500 character limit. It resumes once the count is below the threshold and all other text areas are within limits. Organization How do I sort through my flashcards? Flashcards are displayed on the dashboard, like email, they are ordered by newest first. From there you can sort by title, count, or date created by clicking the column headers. You can also search for a specific set by typing in the search bar. How can I group flashcard sets together? We offer a tab system on the dashboard that lets you switch between all flashcard sets, favorites, and folders. You can mark sets as favorites using the heart icon for quick access, and create folders to group related content together. Can I share folders? Not right now but this feature will be added eventually. How do I make flashcards private? You can mark flashcards as private while Editing. Click the lock icon at the top of the page and save the changes. Note: Private notes cannot be shared with or viewed by others. How do I import flashcards? From the dashboard select the Import tab. Follow the directions. How do I export flashcards? Select a flashcard set from the dashboard, which takes you to the review page. You can find the export button among the utility buttons at the top of the page. Choose your format and copy the text. Note: images will not be included in exported content Account How do I change my profile image? Click the user icon on the navbar and go to the Settings page. From the settings page you can upload a new profile picture. How do I change my password? Click the user icon on the navbar and go to the Settings page. I need to update my email address. Click the user icon on the navbar and go to the Settings page. Locate the One-Time Code link in the Contacts section. Follow the on-screen instructions to send yourself a code. Once you receive the code, enter it in the One-Time Code field along with your new Email. You must verify your new email to complete the update. How do I delete my account?
