My background I grew up in the Netherlands in a bilingual environment speaking both Dutch and Persian. I did my Bachelor in Business Administration in the Netherlands. I liked entrepreneurship and had helped my father with his driving school and theory exam preparation website. My programme was 4 years long of which I spent 3 in the Netherlands and 1 abroad. I was able to work in Singapore for half a year and do an exchange in Korea at Hanyang University in Seoul. Afterwards, I pursued a 2 year Double Master Degree in International Management. My first year I spent at Católica Lisbon in Portugal and the second at ESCP (Paris) in France.I grew up in a bilingual environment learning Dutch and Persian at the same time. During my childhood and school years I picked up English. Furthermore, starting in high school I learnt German, and in 2019 challenged myself to learn French in a year. With great pride I can say that I succeeded in this. Ever since I was a child I had always been interested in travelling the world and speaking different languages. I would dream about going to new countries and being able to speak in a new language with the local people. It is for that reason that I worked and studied in Singapore and Korea respectively. Moreover, I have travelled Asia in order to see more of the world and be able to practice new languages.Afterwards I did my Master Degree. I spent the first year in Lisbon and studied Portuguese whilst exploring Portugal. The second year I spent in Paris where I studied the French language and explored France. There is still so much to see of the world, and I am confident that I will see it all! Language and travel My Method I learnt my native languages without ever studying for them just like any other person. English I learnt in primary school and high school . Beginning in high school, I also started with German. Throughout the years I learnt a lot about how to learn a language.  This made me think: what is the best way to learn a language? So, I challenged myself – can I become fluent (C1) in a new language in 1 year? And if I can, what would be the method to doing this. In July of 2019 I started with French and within 1 year I was able to reach a C1 level. During this period, I spent a lot of time researching how one can best learn a language, and the results I wish to share with you through Language Atlas. There is no secret nor is there a magic bullet. You won’t find any stories of becoming fluent in a matter of weeks or months. I have developed a method that will get you from 0 to C1 and wish to share this with you. There is no big secret that will allow you to acquire a language instantaneously, however with consistent practice and a positive mind-set you can reach your goals of fluency!
