We built uLog as a private AI‑assisted journal: minimal collection, no resale, no advertising trackers, no use of your content to train foundation models. 1. Controller uLog.ai (Delaware, United States). Contact: privacy@ulog.ai. 2. Data We Collect Account Data: Email, auth identifiers (Supabase Auth). Journal Content: Topics, messages, AI summaries you create (stored in Supabase Postgres in us-east-1). Service Metadata: Timestamps, internal IDs for operation. Automatic Technical Data: Minimal request / connection data (e.g. IP) generated and transiently stored by Supabase infrastructure; we do not separately store or profile IPs. Payment Data: Processed by Stripe (we do not store full card data). Captcha Data: Google reCAPTCHA v2 challenge tokens to mitigate abuse. No Google Analytics or marketing pixels. No third‑party behavioral ads. 3. How We Use Data Authenticate and maintain your session (Supabase Auth + local storage tokens). Store and display your journal entries and generated summaries. Send only the user input you submit (no full conversation history) to OpenAI to produce a single response. Process payments (Stripe) if you purchase a plan. Prevent abuse and spam (reCAPTCHA, basic rate limiting). Provide support and investigate abuse (limited manual review when necessary). Comply with legal obligations and maintain service security. 4. AI / Model Use We do not opt in to OpenAI training programs. Only the text you just submitted (not your full journal history) is sent to the OpenAI API to return an answer for you. Your content is not used to train foundation models. 5. Legal Basis (EEA / UK users) Performance of contract (core service), legitimate interests (security/abuse prevention - minimal and balanced), and consent where explicitly requested (e.g. optional communications). Governing law: Delaware, USA. 6. Sub‑processors Supabase: Hosting, Postgres, auth, storage (us-east-1). OpenAI: Text generation (ephemeral processing of provided prompt). Stripe: Payments. Google reCAPTCHA v2: Bot mitigation. No other analytics or advertising platforms. 7. Retention & Deletion Journal Content: Kept until you delete entries or delete your account. Account Deletion: Removes active data immediately; residual data may persist only in Supabase default backups until overwritten (we do not currently implement a separate hard‑purge cycle). Logs: We do not retain separate application logs; infrastructure providers may hold transient operational logs. 8. Security TLS in transit; Supabase managed encryption at rest. Least‑privilege admin access (MFA not yet implemented for admins - roadmap). No application‑level (client‑side) encryption of entries beyond transport/at rest defaults (planned evaluation). Manual content access only for support or abuse investigation. 9. International Transfers Primary storage: us-east-1. OpenAI may process in its operational regions. Appropriate contractual safeguards (e.g. SCCs) relied upon when required. 10. Your Rights Subject to law you may request: access, rectification, deletion, restriction, export (JSON), or object to certain processing. Email privacy@ulog.ai. We target responses within 90 days (usually faster). 11. Children Not directed to children under 13. If we learn an under‑13 user provided data, we will delete the account. 12. Manual Review Only for user‑initiated support requests or suspected abuse/violation, and limited to necessary scope. 13. Automated Decisions No automated decision making producing legal or similarly significant effects. 14. reCAPTCHA reCAPTCHA v2 is essential security; no opt‑out pathway (service use implies acceptance of Google’s Privacy Policy & Terms). 15. Changes We may update this policy; material changes will appear here with a new effective date. 16. Agreement These Terms govern use of the uLog.ai journaling and AI assistance service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. 2. Eligibility You must be at least 13 years old. Do not use the Service if any applicable law prohibits you from doing so. 3. Definitions User Content: Topics, messages, entries, summaries and any material you submit or import. AI Output: Text generated for you by third‑party AI APIs based on your input. Subscription: An automatically renewing paid plan (if selected) billed per displayed billing period. 4. Account & Security You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and promptly notifying support@ulog.ai of any suspected compromise. Keep access tokens confidential. 5. License & Ownership You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited, revocable, worldwide license to store, process, and transmit User Content solely to provide the Service. AI Output may be used by you; we do not claim ownership of it. 6. Acceptable Use You will not: (a) violate law; (b) upload malware or exploit code; (c) harass, threaten, or dox others; (d) impersonate; (e) scrape, bulk export, or rate‑limit evade; (f) reverse engineer or probe security (except with prior written permission); (g) submit content you lack rights to; (h) use automation to generate abusive or mass content. We may throttle, suspend, or remove content for violations. 7. AI Output AI Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or reflect biases. Do not rely on it as professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for evaluating all AI Output. 8. User Content Review Limited manual review may occur only to provide support, investigate abuse, or comply with law. 9. Subscriptions & Billing Paid plans auto‑renew until canceled. Fees are charged at the start of each billing period (e.g. monthly or annual as shown at checkout). Cancel anytime to stop future renewals (access continues until the current paid period ends). All fees are non‑refundable except where required by law. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ advance posting; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. 10. Data Retention & Export User Content persists until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting an account removes active data; residual backup copies may persist only in provider backups until overwritten. For an export (JSON) contact support@ulog.ai before deletion. 11. Modifications We may update the Service or these Terms at any time by posting the revised version; the updated Terms become effective upon posting. Your continued use constitutes acceptance. 12. Third‑Party Services Service relies on third parties (e.g. Supabase, OpenAI, Stripe, reCAPTCHA). Their terms govern their components. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions. 13. Feedback Voluntary suggestions or ideas become a non‑exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty‑free license for us to use without obligation. 14. Suspension & Termination You may terminate at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate for violations, legal requests, security risk, or non‑payment. No inactivity termination. Upon termination your license ends and we may delete remaining active data. 15. Beta & Experimental Features Beta features may be incomplete, change, or cease at any time and are provided “AS IS”. 16. Disclaimers TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED, THE SERVICE (INCLUDING AI OUTPUT) IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND (EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY), INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, OR NON‑INFRINGEMENT. 17. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR REPUTATION, EVEN IF ADVISED OF POSSIBILITY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS; THOSE LIMITATIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED. 18. Indemnification You will indemnify and hold harmless uLog and its affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your User Content, or (c) unlawful or abusive use of the Service. 19. Force Majeure No party is liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control (including outages, acts of God, network failures, regulatory acts). 20. Assignment We may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. You may not assign without prior written consent. 21. DMCA / Copyright If you believe content infringes your copyright, email a notice to support@ulog.ai with: (a) identification of the work, (b) the infringing material location, (c) your contact info, (d) a good‑faith statement, and (e) a statement under penalty of perjury of accuracy and authority. 22. Governing Language English is the governing language; translations (if any) are for convenience only. 23. Survival Sections relating to ownership, acceptable use, feedback, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, assignment, and survival remain in effect after termination. 24. Notices Notices may be provided via email to your account address or by posting within the Service or site. 25. Entire Agreement & Waiver These Terms plus referenced policies constitute the entire agreement. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. If any part is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. 26. Infrastructure Hosted on reputable cloud providers with hardened managed services and network segmentation. Encryption TLS 1.2+ for all transport. Encrypted storage for databases & backups. Access Control Role‑based access with MFA enforced for administrative accounts. Vulnerability Management Regular dependency scanning & patching; critical fixes prioritized.
