Sign inBy registering, you accept our Terms and conditions and Privacy policy --- Terms and conditionsTerms and Conditions of Use for the StoryCanvas Tool for Writers Last Updated: February 2, 2026 These Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the tool for writers, image editing, Artificial Intelligence assistance, and writing correction (hereinafter, "the Tool" or "the Platform"), provided by StoryCanvas ("We", "Us", "Our"), to the users ("User", "Users", "You") aged 13 and over. By accessing and using the Tool, you agree to these Terms and are legally bound by them. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Tool. 1. Use of the Tool 1.1. The Tool provides Users with the ability to edit and correct their writings, as well as generate and edit images using advanced AI models. 1.2. Users must be at least 13 years old to access and use the Tool. 1.3. Text Snapshots and Automatic Storage: Users have the ability to create "snapshots" of their texts at any time during the writing process, which will be saved on our servers. Additionally, the current text will be automatically saved on our servers between 1 and 2 seconds after the user stops writing to prevent loss of work. Users also have a backup in their browser through a local indexed database (IndexedDB). 1.4. Projects and Elements: Each user can create multiple projects within the tool, such as books, each with its own independent elements such as chapters, characters, covers, notes, and locations. These elements are linked to specific projects and are private and exclusive to each user. 1.5. Functionalities via WhatsApp: StoryCanvas offers the possibility of using certain functionalities directly through WhatsApp (correction, image generation, downloads, and translation). 1.5.1 Linking and Verification: It is necessary to link your phone number with your StoryCanvas account through a verification code to complete activation. 1.5.2 Use of Phone Number: The number will be used exclusively to enable these functionalities. StoryCanvas commits not to send third-party advertising or share numbers with third parties without explicit consent. 1.6. Book Promotion Pages: The web page creation function is exclusively for the promotion of the linked book, its content, or the author's brand. Its use for unrelated purposes (memes, third-party resale, etc.) is prohibited. StoryCanvas reserves the right to take them down if they fail to comply with this literary purpose. 1.7. Beta Readers: The author is solely responsible for the management of their Beta Readers. StoryCanvas grants the access keys, but it is the author who decides to whom to give them. For security, each access key is for one-time use; once linked to a device and browser, it will not work on another, requiring a new key in case of a change. 2. Subscription Plans and Billing 2.1. Plan Models: The Platform offers a subscription model based on plans: Free, Novice, Pro, and Advanced. 2.2. Billing Cycle and Cancellation: Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically. The user can cancel their plan at any time from the management portal, stopping the renewal but maintaining premium access until the end of the already paid period. 2.3. Plan Upgrades and Proration: If a user upgrades to a higher plan, a proration system is applied. The unused balance of the current plan is deducted from the cost of the new plan, charging only the difference for the remainder of the month. 2.4. Plan Downgrades: If the user downgrades to a more economical plan, the credit balance generated by the remaining days of the previous plan will be applied as credit to cover future monthly payments of the new plan. 2.5. Payments and Security: We do not store banking data directly; it is managed by certified providers (Stripe). Any report regarding improper charges must be sent to our contact email for resolution. 3. Artificial Intelligence and Assistant 3.1. Assistant Requests: In the Pro and Advanced plans, the use of the Assistant is measured by "Requests". One request is counted for each response generated by the AI following a user message. These are renewed on the first day of each month and are not cumulative. 3.2. Context Synchronization (RAG): The assistant uses a data retrieval system. The context of the books is updated twice a day; therefore, very recent text changes might not be instantly available to the Assistant. 3.3. Activation and Summaries: The use of the Assistant must be activated individually for each book. Texts summarized by AI belong exclusively to the author and enjoy the same privacy as the original text. 3.4. Content Generation and AI Correction: Original texts will be corrected by AI, maintaining intellectual property with the user. They will be used solely for the operation of the service and not for promotion without explicit consent. 4. Privacy and Data Protection 4.1. Personal data is subject to our Privacy Policy. 4.2. Intellectual Property and Non-Training Policy: Writings are the exclusive property of the Users. StoryCanvas guarantees that your writings, notes, and books are NOT used to train our own or third-party AI models. Data is processed only to execute the requested functions. 4.3. The Tool allows saving writings according to the User's choice. Stored data is the responsibility of the User, and we do not guarantee the perpetual preservation of such data. 4.4. Storage Options and Security: Elements and texts are stored in third-party databases with advanced security protocols to protect the information generated. 5. Appropriate Use of the Tool 5.1. Use for illegal or immoral purposes is not permitted. Users commit to an ethical and respectful use. 5.2. Creation or distribution of explicit content with minors, pornography, animal cruelty, or any material that violates the law is prohibited. 5.3. Conduct and Sanctions: Sending hate speech, insults, or offensive content may be cause for account deletion without prior notice. Failure to comply with any term will result in loss of access without the right to a refund. 6. Changes and Additional Terms 6.1. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be notified through notifications in the Tool or appropriate means. Continued use indicates acceptance of the new Terms. 6.2. Service Updates: New versions or the withdrawal of functionalities will be communicated by email or in the main section of StoryCanvas after logging in. 7. Termination 7.1. We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms. 7.2. Logical Deletion: If the user decides to delete their account, we will perform a logical deletion of their data, making it inaccessible through our API. 8. Contact 8.1.
